Stewardship Opportunities
Caring for the Salish Sea Starts with All of Us
Stewardship and individual responsibility are rooted in the concept that each of us holds a duty to care for the world around us, from the environment to our communities. Stewardship, in its broadest sense, can be understood as the responsible management and care of resources. It recognizes that we are part of a larger system and that our actions—whether as individuals, groups, or societies—impact that system in both seen and unseen ways.
Here at the Salish Sea Alliance our mission is to protect and restore the marine resources of the Salish Sea through education, stewardship, and science-based restoration and prevention efforts. Each action, no matter how small, can contribute to a collective change, it is about recognizing that we are caretakers of the earth and its many interconnected ecosystems. Community engagement and action is paramount to our goals. Join us at an upcoming stewardship event or sign up for our monthly newsletter to keep up on our work and ways to get involved.
