Workshops

Each spring and summer, the Salish Sea Alliance partners with community organizations for complementary, hands‑on Catch More Crab workshops that help recreational crabbers keep pots out of harm’s way for a successful day on the water. Participants learn simple, proven techniques for gear rigging, escape cord, proper weighting, buoy set‑up, baiting and more to prevent pot loss and “ghost fishing” while enjoying their time as a successful and responsible crabber. With demonstrations and take‑home guides, these family‑friendly sessions boost success while protecting Dungeness crab populations and the Salish Sea ecosystem.
